This exquisite piece was inspired by the porch view from the resort
spa LunaSea on Ocracoke Island, North Carolina. The artist used simple water
colors on textured paper to convey the serenity and mystery of the Pamlico Sound at high
tide. Not shown in this fine illustration, but nonetheless an integral part of the spa
experience, is the swarm of Ibis birds floating above the scene.
